This opportunity offers a full-time, contract position as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing one-on-one support in specialized classrooms serving students with multiple disabilities. Positions are available in Pipersville and Langhorne, Pennsylvania, supporting K-12 students during the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized nursing care to students in multiple disabilities support classrooms.
- Manage medical needs including tracheostomies, gastrostomy tubes, ventilators, seizure protocols, and emergency response for conditions such as hypoglycemia and asthma.
- Assist with daily health monitoring during school hours, including medication administration and health-related interventions on school buses as needed.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student well-being and educational goals.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to school health policies.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
- Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
- Proficient in managing complex medical equipment and protocols (trachs, g-tubes, vents, seizures).
- Experience with tube feeding, hypoglycemia, and asthma management, especially for the Langhorne position.
- Comfortable working in an educational environment with students requiring specialized support.
Location:
- Pipersville Elementary-age classroom support with multiple disabilities.
- Langhorne Preschool/early intervention classroom support requiring specialized medical care.
Benefits And Schedule
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week), contract duration through June 12, 2026.
- Positions based in the respective school locations; IUs main office is not the worksite.
